Ukrainian MP, presidential envoy to the Verkhovna Rada, Iryna Lutsenko, says Canada and EU countries will provide weapons to Ukraine following the United States' move.

"As soon as the first stage is passed, Canada and European countries will be ready to provide us with lethal defensive weapons," Lutsenko told journalists, an UNIAN correspondent reports.

As UNIAN reported, late in 2017, the Donald Trump Administration green-lighted the sales to Ukraine of lethal weapons, including Javelin anti-tank missile systems.

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko said on January 17, 2018, that the Javelins could be delivered within two to six months.
