Yatseniuk discusses gas issue with Biden
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk discussed the gas issue and the possibility of expanding the program of financial support to Ukraine by the international community, Russian news agency TASS has reported, with reference to White House sources.
"The two officials discussed the topic of negotiations on gas supplies to Ukraine after Russia's unilateral decision to stop deliveries in June," the White House said in a statement.
Their discussion also focused on the expansion of international financial support program to Ukraine.
"The vice president said that during his visit to Kyiv next month he would expect to discuss how the United States could provide further support to Ukraine," the White House statement read.
