Opposition may initiate resignation of Ukraine`s Prosecutor General

The Party of Regions says it may initiate resignation of Ukraine`s Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko in case of further political reprisals and pressure on the opposition, NCRU reports.

      The Party of Regions says if the practice of political reprisals and pressure on the opposition is not immediately stopped, if the authority does not return to observance of laws, it will raise the question of resignation of the prosecutor general and the President`s responsibility for his violation of laws and the Constitution. Party of Regions` representatives say the authority ever more often applies reprisals with the assistance of the law-enforcement bodies, including the prosecutor`s office.
