Kuwait and Ukraine on Sunday sealed deals on a number of agreements in various fields to boost cooperation.

The two sides signed an agreement for military cooperation, in which Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, along with his Ukrainian counterpart Stepan Poltorak, put their names on the agreement, Xinhua reported with reference to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The signing ceremony was attended by Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and visiting Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

Meanwhile, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on inter-sport cooperation was among the agreements signed, KUNA said.

Another MoU on cooperation in the field of science was finalized between Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research and Ukraine's National Academy of Sciences.

Petro Poroshenko is paying a state visit in Kuwait on March 18-19.
