"Yesterday one person told me how a few of his Crimean Tatar friends had been fired from their jobs for not going to the 'elections'!" Crimean lawyer Emil Kurbedinov wrote on Facebook.

According to the lawyer, one of those laid off worked as a shuttle bus driver while the other man was as a security guard. Kurbedinov did not name the job of the third person he knew had been fired.
