Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has called on the OSCE PA to use all available tools to ensure the Kremlin's respect for the Helsinki Final Act principles and to abandon Russia's aggressive policy toward Ukraine.

During the meeting with of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation headed by the President George Tsereteli, Klimkin acknowledged the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in the OSCE and expressed his gratitude to the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) George Tsereteli for his strong support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity in face of the Russian military aggression in Donbas and illegal occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, according to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press center.

The minister stressed that the restoration of peace on the Ukrainian soil depends on Russia's readiness to stop its aggression against Ukraine.

Tsereteli assured of the OSCE PA consistent support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders and of Assembly's readiness to further promote Ukrainian parliamentary initiatives. According to Tsereteli, the approval, in recent years, by the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly of seven relevant resolutions in support of Ukraine has been considered as a consolidated position of Assembly's parliamentarians.

OSCE PA president stressed that during his yesterday's visit to Donetsk region of Ukraine he had an opportunity to witness the grave security and humanitarian situation in Donbas, as well as emphasized on the important role of the OSCE SMM.
