Poroshenko signs law on anti-corruption court
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on the High Anti-Corruption Court (No. 7440).
"We begin the official ceremony of signing the law of Ukraine on the High Anti-Corruption Court in the presence of the future of Ukraine – future and current leaders of Ukraine. My congratulations!" he said at a meeting with students of the Ukrainian Leadership Academy in Kyiv before signing the document.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada passed the presidential draft law "On the High Anti-Corruption Court" in the second reading on Thursday, June 7.
The law stipulates that, the Public Council of International Experts, at the initiative of at least its three members, and the High Qualification Commission of Judges will consider the issue of the candidate's suitability for the position of a judge.
