Inaugural meeting of EU-Ukraine Association Council held in Brussels (Video)
The first meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council, which was held on Monday, saw a deal signed by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin with the European Central Bank on a substantial loan to help develop the country’s gas transit system.
Expressing readiness to help Ukraine in conducting necessary reforms, European states also held talks on additional sanctions against companies in Russian-occupied Crimea, with a decision on the issue expected later this month, Ukraine Today reports.
The EU-Ukraine Association Council continues its meeting on Tuesday in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.
