The Prosecutor`s General Office to investigate his activities

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has intent to ask President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko to sack Leonid Chernovetskiy from the post of Kyiv City State Administration chairman.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, this decision was made at a government session today.

At the voting on this issue, 16 government representatives supported this decision, while 5 abstained from voting.

The government also decided to turn to the Verkhovna Rada with a proposal to urgently consider the issue of carrying out an early election of Kyiv Mayor.

The government will also address the Prosecutor’s General Office with a request to probe into facts of violating the legislation by Kyiv City State Administration officials.
