Rada terminates MP mandates of Turchynov, Kovalchuk and Pavlenko

Resolution No. 1717 on termination of Turchynov’s powers was supported by 275 MPs out of 334 registered in the session hall.

Resolution No. 1717-1 concerning Kovalchuk was supported by 270 MPs out of 335, and resolution No. 1717-2 concerning Pavlenko was supported by 269 MPs out of 336 registered in the session hall.

As reported earlier, last year Turchynov was appointed Secretary for the National Security and Defense Council, Kovalchuk - First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, Pavlenko - Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration.

Ukrainian MPs may not take official positions in other branches of government without giving up their MP mandates.
