“On Tuesday we will make a very strict demand – either we vote on the decree on an early election of Kyiv Mayor, or our team does not take part in the work of parliament”, Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.

She recalled that one of the provisions of the democratic forces coalition agreement sets out the necessity to adopt the decree on carrying out an early election of the Kyiv Mayor and the Kyiv City Council members.

“Two democratic forces agreed that this decision would be adopted as one of the top priority. And I believe that our democratic coalition, under any condition, will not violate its obligations to Kyiv residents”, Yulia Tymoshenko pointed out.

She disclosed that the BYuT submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft decree on carrying out an early election of Kyiv Mayor and Kyiv City Council members in 45 days after the decree is adopted.

“I would like to inform that our team in the parliament, represented by rather a powerful faction of 156 lawmakers, will not begin its work on Tuesday, until the decree on the early election of Kyiv Mayor is put for voting”, Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized.

“As of today, there are materials and documents, prepared by a government’s working group, which passed all the materials to the Verkhovna Rada and the ad-hoc investigative commission”, the Prime Minister noted.
