"The latest decision was that the European Union was ready to discuss the creation of a pan-European Russian-language channel in order to give the Russian-speaking audience the opportunity to get an alternative point of view,” Poroshenko said.
“And this could be very important in our fight for the Europeans, for their support.”
Poroshenko also thanked everyone who supported Ukraine.

According to EU data, about 2% of the European Union’s population speaks Russian as their native language, and Russian is widely understood as a second language especially in the Baltic States, but also in Eastern and Central Europe.
