EU imposes sanctions against organizers of "elections" in Donbas – journalist
Brussels reporter for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty Rikard Jozwiak has said EU foreign ministers imposed sanctions against those responsible for organizing the so-called "elections" in Donbas.
"EU foreign ministers have just approved the visa bans and asset freezes on the 9 ppl the EU deems responsible for organizing the "elections" in eastern Ukraine. will be published in the EU official journal around midday," he wrote on Twitter on December 10, 2018.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Russian-controlled puppet republics – the "Donetsk People's Republic ("DPR") and the Luhansk People's Republic ("LPR") on November 11 held sham "elections" of the so-called "heads of people's republics" and "deputies of people's councils." The Kremlin has already greeted Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik as "heads" of the "DPR" and the "LPR," respectively.
