The incidents included hacker attacks, illegal interference in automated systems and databases, and anti-Ukrainian propaganda in social media.

In particular, 29 individuals were indicted and 20 sentences issued by courts entered into force, it said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine may expect an increase in cyber interference by Russia pending presidential elections in March 2019.

Incumbent President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced before that Ukraine had beefed up cyber cooperation with its international partners in advance of the 2019 elections, though he did not rule out that Moscow would try to meddle by launching further cyberattacks.
