The SBU Security Service of Ukraine in 2018 submitted to the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) over 1,500 proposals for the application of sanctions.

"In 2018, the SBU sent to the NSDC 1,541 proposals for the application of sanctions over anti-Ukrainian activities, financing of terrorism, and promotion of occupiers' activities in relation to 720 legal entities and 821 individuals," the SBU's press center wrote on Facebook.

The SBU noted that 548 of sanction targets were Russian business entities, while 284 were Russian citizens.
