Hungarian envoy notes positive shifts in relations with Ukraine
Ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine Istvan Iydyarto has noted positive developments in the Hungarian-Ukrainian relations.
"For me, this visit [to Zakarpattia region] is very important, and I believe it is mandatory for the Hungarian ambassador. We have a difficult year behind us, but what is difficult to start, usually ends well. And now we're seeing positive developments in the Hungarian-Ukrainian relations," he said following the meeting with Zakarpattia Governor Hennadii Moskal, according to the press service of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.
On behalf of the Hungarian government, he also expressed special gratitude to Mr Moskal for his personal involvement in promoting better relations between two countries.
"Your sober and realistic view of the situation in regard to the life of the Hungarian minority had a decisive impact on resolving a number of contradictions," Iydyarto said.
Iydyarto also said Hungary was interested in joint projects with Ukraine, in particular in Zakarpattia region.
