German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has announced that the Russian authorities guarantee the possibility that monitors of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will have 'unlimited access' to eastern Ukraine.

This agreement includes control over the withdrawal of heavy weapons, Steinmeier said after a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Riga on March 7, Deutsche Welle reported.

According to him, this is "decisive progress" for the stabilization of the situation in eastern Ukraine.
