Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) Ambassador Martin Sajdik has said the TCG on the settlement of the situation in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, will meet in Minsk, Belarus, on May 22.

"Due to the forthcoming holidays, the next meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine will take place in Minsk on May 22. Video conferences may be held before that if necessary," he said after a meeting on April 24, the Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BelTA) said.

"The sides are in favor of the Easter truce idea as a matter of principle, but, unfortunately, they've been unable to come up with an agreed text of the statement. I hope that in practice the parties will refrain from combat actions, in particular, for the duration of the forthcoming Easter and May holidays," the diplomat said.
