Poroshenko awards 'Hero of Ukraine' title to SBU chief

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has awarded the 'Hero of Ukraine' title, the highest national title that can be conferred upon an individual citizen by the President of Ukraine, to Chief of Ukraine's SBU Security Service Vasyl Hrytsak.

The relevant decree has been published on the president's official website.

It is noted the 'Hero of Ukraine' title is being awarded to Hrytsak for "selfless service to the Ukrainian people, outstanding personal contribution to the protection of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine."
