Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko says more than 2.5 million citizens of Ukraine have already taken advantage of the visa-free travel across the European Union.

"2,575,390 — that's how many Ukrainians have personally enjoyed all the advantages of a visa-free regime with the EU," Poroshenko wrote on Facebook.

The president noted that the number of Ukrainians enjoying visa free travel has been growing daily.

"And there are more than a hundred of such countries. The world is becoming even more open every day!" Poroshenko added.

UNIAN memo. From June 11, 2017, within the framework of visa liberalization with the EU, Ukrainian citizens holders of biometric passports are allowed visa-free tourist trips to EU countries for up to 90 days no more than once every six months.

However, the easing does not allow working or studying in Europe without a relevant visa.
