Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed his first presidential decree.

Document No. 300/2019 of May 20, 2019, posted on the president's official website refers to the acceptance of powers of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"In connection with the assumption of the presidency of Ukraine on May 20, 2019, in accordance with Paragraph 17 of Part 1 of Article 106 of the Constitution of Ukraine, from this day I accept the powers of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the decree says.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Zelensky on May 20 sworn the oath of allegiance to the people of Ukraine and officially became president.
