Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has thanked President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė for supporting Ukraine in the protection of sovereignty and providing practical assistance in the implementation of reforms and reconstruction of Donbas.

During the meeting in Kyiv on May 20, Zelensky thanked Grybauskaitė for congratulations on assumption of the presidency. He noted the president of Lithuania is a true and reliable friend of Ukraine, the president's press service has reported.
Zelensky also noted the contribution of Grybauskaitė to strengthening the strategic partnership of two countries and expressed conviction that it had new prospects.
In addition, Zelensky underscored the important role of Lithuania in promoting Ukraine to the EU and NATO and strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.
Zelensky also expressed special gratitude for the treatment of the Ukrainian soldiers wounded in the east and the possibility of their rehabilitation in the medical institutions of Lithuania.
