Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed head of the Ukrainian Border Guard Service Petro Tsyhykal.

Respective presidential order No. 345/2019 of May 31 has been posted on the president's official website.

"To dismiss Tsyhykal Petro Oleksandrovych from the office of the head of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine," the document says.

By another decree No. 346/2019 of May 31, the president dismissed Tsyhykal from military service in the reserve with the right to wear a military uniform.

As UNIAN reported, Tsyhykal has held the post since July 2017 after appointment by the then President Petro Poroshenko.
