Ex-Ukraine Ombudswoman to replace Gerashchenko at negotiations in Minsk

Former Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Valeria Lutkovska will replace Ukraine's Representative in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group for the Donbas settlement Iryna Gerashchenko.

"I was at a meeting of the president of Ukraine and Chairman of Ukraine's delegation in the Trilateral Contact Group, [former Ukrainian] President [Leonid] Kuchma and, in fact, I will be responsible for humanitarian issues," Lutkovska told Hromadske Radio.

Lutkovska held the post of Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights from April 2012 to March 2018. She is currently Program Director of the Ukrainian Institute for Human Rights.
