Turkey wants to help rebuild Donbas – Erdogan
Turkey is interested in taking part in the reconstruction of Donbas after the conflict is over.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced this at a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv on Friday, an UNIAN correspondent reported.
"When Ukraine overcomes this difficult period, we are ready for Turkish construction firms' engagement in rebuilding [infrastructure] in territories that have suffered from this conflict," he said.
Erdogan said he was sure that the Ukrainian government would support the Turkish companies in every possible way.
In his words, when Ukraine establishes fair competition regime, "Turkish companies will put their signature under huge and unprecedented successes."
According to Erdogan, Turkish construction firms have already implemented projects worth UAH 4.5 billion in Ukraine.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Turkey supports Ukraine in its intention to invite UN peacekeepers to Donbas.
