President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Berlin on June 18 to meet with Germany's Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, UNIAN learned from diplomatic sources.

This will be the first meeting of the leaders of Ukraine and Germany.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on May 24, Zelensky and Merkel in a telephone conversation agreed on their first joint steps to step up efforts to return peace to Donbas.

During their conversation, the interlocutors paid special attention to the "developments" in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
