"In the near future the government will regain control over the rebellious management of the Southwestern Railways, even if it has to use the option of force,” Blank wrote.
“Nobody will allow separatism in the capital – [Southwestern Railways] doesn’t obey any orders of the State Administration of Railway Transport, any instructions of the Ministry, or the decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers," he said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on March 4 the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Oleksiy Kryvopishyn of his duties as head of the Southwestern Railways and initiated an internal investigation into the leadership of the company.
On March 19, the Acting Director of the Ukrainian state railway company Ukrzaliznytsia Maksym Blank fired the leadership of the Southwestern Railways.
However, the management of the Southwestern Railways then said it would refuse to obey any orders from Ukrzaliznytsia, considering them criminal ones.
