Olena Zelenska meets with Brigitte Macron in Élysée Palace
In the framework of the official visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to France, his wife, Olena Zelenska, has met with the wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, Brigitte Macron, in the Élysée Palace.
The First Ladies of Ukraine and France had a friendly conversation. Brigitte Macron told about her office structure and the charter outlining the tasks and initiatives supervised by the First Lady, according to the Ukrainian presidential press service.
Brigitte Macron shared her experience of organizing various projects under the patronage of the First Lady. The key attention is focused on education and healthcare, issues related to children and adolescents.
Olena Zelenska told about her plans for the future projects in Ukraine and invited Brigitte Macron to visit Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the presidency of Emmanuel Macron in France, the status of the First Lady has been officialized and in 2017 the charter of transparency relating to the status of the spouse of the head of state was presented outlining the role, tasks and means of their execution by the wife of the president of France.
The First Lady in France communicates with civil society in the field of education, including inclusive education, healthcare, protection of the rights of people with special needs, culture and cultural heritage, child protection, school bullying, gender equality, women's rights, environmental protection.
