EP to discuss EUR 1.8 bln aid package for Ukraine on March 25

MEPs are to discuss a EUR 1.8 billion aid package for Ukraine at a plenary sitting of the European Parliament scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, according to a statement issued in Brussels on Monday by Head of the European Parliament Press Unit Marjory Van Den Broeke.


MEPs will also discuss issues related to the EU’s European Neighborhood Policy, she said.

In addition, Crimea's militarization and the security situation one year after the Ukrainian territory’s illegal annexation will be discussed with leader of the Mejlis Refat Chubarov at a meeting of the European Parliament Subcommittee on Security and Defence scheduled for Tuesday.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on March 19, the European Parliament Committee approved a European Commission proposal to provide macro-financial assistance to Ukraine worth EUR 1.8 billion.
