Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at the next meeting will consider an initiative to reduce district and regional state administrations by 50%.

"Tomorrow I submit to the government for consideration: from January 1, 2020, it is necessary to reduce the district and regional state administrations by 50%. And we need to take the right from the president and the government to appoint these people," he told Ukrainian ICTV channel.

The prime minister stressed the need to legislate the right of people to elect leaders of their regions.
