The United States has made an important statement on Russian aggression against Ukraine on World Refugee Day, calling Russia to adhere to the ceasefire in Donbas and pull out Russian troops from Donbas.

"On World Refugee Day, we reflect on internally displaced Ukrainians who fled their homes due to Russian aggression. We again call on Russia to live up to its Minsk commitments, including an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire and withdrawal of its forces from eastern Ukraine, the U.S. Embassy said on Twitter on June 20.

Following the meeting, Ukrainian envoy to the TCG Leonid Kuchma's press secretary Darka Olifer said that recent escalation in Donbas had hampered the introduction of a new ceasefire.
