Ukraine, Turkey agree on space program worth billions of dollars
Ukraine and Turkey have agreed on a space program worth billions of dollars, which will let Ukraine ensure orders for its aerospace industry.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced this at a briefing in Dnipropetrovsk on Thursday.
"A Turkish delegation has just left. We've agreed on a space program worth billions of dollars. Not every detail could be disclosed now," the president said.
Poroshenko said that politically, he'll do his best to ensure orders for Ukrainian enterprises. At the same time, a Ukrainian manufacturer should either be able to "stand competition or let the others do that."
As UNIAN reported earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accompanied by Turkish delegates was on an official visit to Ukraine on March 20. During the visit, the sides announced plans to intensify efforts to develop public-private partnerships.
