Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov met with Canadian Defense Minister Harjit Sajjan during the 3rd International Ukraine Reform Conference in Toronto, Canada, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine told UNIAN.
"Interaction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine with the Canadian Armed Forces and the purchase of new equipment was discussed the Minister of Defense of Canada," said Avakov.

The parties also considered security issues in Ukraine, in particular, during the snap parliamentary elections scheduled for July 21.
'Today, the issue of security is not only a question of the boundary line of the conflict or the line of demarcation. This is a question of security in society, the mood of the people. Therefore, the mechanism for democratic elections, which we now provide for, is a key component of security," said Avakov.
