Ukraine's envoy to U.S. comments on completion of his four-year work
Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valeriy Chaly has commented on the completion of his four-year work, noting he will return to Ukraine with deep gratitude to his compatriots.
"Enough time to serve the people of Ukraine and demonstrate a decent result in an important foreign policy direction... I will return to Ukraine with deep gratitude to my compatriots with whom we fought for democracy against authoritarianism and continue to fight for a bright future for independent and successful Ukraine against Russia's attempts to drag us down into the Soviet or imperial past," he wrote on Facebook.
Chaly also expressed gratitude to the American people.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed 11 ambassadors, including Chaly. The relevant decrees of July 19 were posted on the president's official website.
