Azarov, Tsarev and Oleinik ‘finance actions to destabilize situation in Ukraine’
Ukraine’s SBU security service has claimed that ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov and former MPs Oleg Tsarev and Volodymyr Oleynik are financially supporting acts to destabilize the situation in Ukraine, Ukrainian news agency 112.ua reported on Wednesday, quoted adviser to the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky.
"Possible actions that are intended to destabilize the situation in the capital of Ukraine and in other cities are all paid-for actions, and the funds are coming from ex-Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and former People's Deputies Oleg Tsarev and Volodymyr Oleynik," Lubkivsky said.
Lubkivsky also said that the persons mentioned are currently in Moscow.
As UNIAN reported earlier, previously one of the leaders of the pro-Russian militants, Oleksandr Khodakovsky, confirmed rumors that he was being backed financially by Rinat Akhmetov, a Donetsk-based oligarch who is arguably the region’s most powerful man, but who has recently taken a strong stance against the separatists.
