United States Chargé d'Affaires to Ukraine William Taylor has said the United States considers Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's proposal for the U.S. to join the Normandy negotiations on Donbas settlement interesting.

The diplomat also found the proposal viable, European Pravda wrote, quoting (in Ukrainian) William Taylor as saying in an interview.

According to Taylor, it is necessary that other participants of the Normandy format speak out on the idea of the United States or United Kingdom joining the Normandy format.

He added that U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine negotiations Kurt Volker was also interested in such changes and had been negotiating the issue.
