Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation, MP from the Servant of the People Party Bohdan Yaremenko has said Ukraine will be able to get its representatives in de-occupied Donbas thanks to the holding of elections there.
"We will get at least some representatives with whom we can be at least a little tolerant, and with whom we can afford some form of dialogue. Unlike those Moscow appointees, whom they present us as 'DPR/LPR leaders,'" he said in an interview for the RBC Ukraine media outlet.
At the same time, Yaremenko stressed that despite the complexity of the elections after de-occupation, "they have logic." According to him, if Ukraine does not recognize the election results, then at least it will understand how representative the local government is.
"This will reveal a certain field of game for Ukraine," the MP added.
