Savchenko’s exact location at the time of her capture is to be determined by a specifically appointed expert, the Echo of Moscow radio station reported, according to Ukraine Today

Savchenko’s charges of being involved in the murder of two Russian journalists in eastern Ukraine last June have been widely criticized as rigged and repeatedly denied by the captive herself.

According to Savchenko, in summer 2014, she was abducted by Russia-backed insurgents and taken from Ukrainian territory to Russia, where she has been kept in prison ever since.

Despite being elected a member of Ukraine’s Parliament last October and also being appointed to the country's delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in January, Russian court does not recognize her diplomatic immunity.
