Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko and Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine Du Wei met in Kyiv on November 11, 2019, to discuss the need to renew the dynamics of political dialogue between the two countries.

"The sides emphasized on the necessity to renew the dynamics of political dialogue between the two countries as a prerequisite for intensification of practical cooperation, especially in trade, economic and investment," the Ukrainian ministry said on its website on November 12.

During the meeting, the parties focused on key issues on the bilateral agenda. The minister stressed that Ukraine's foreign policy on developing friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation with the People's Republic of China remains unchanged.

Prystaiko expressed hope that active and efficient work of joint bilateral mechanisms will become a powerful tool for diversification and increase in bilateral goods turnover.

In addition, close attention was paid to the creation of favorable conditions to boost mutual travel of citizens of both countries as well as to further develop cultural and humanitarian ties.
