Zelensky assigns rank of Colonel General to chief of Ukraine's General Staff

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has assigned the rank of Colonel General to Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak.

"To assign the rank of Colonel General to Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak," the president said in decree No. 890/2019 of December 5 posted on the president's website.

On December 6, Zelensky arrived in Donbas to greet the Ukrainian military on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
