Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko has said his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu during Vladimir Putin's visit to Turkey will raise a question of the release of all Ukrainian citizens illegally held in Russia and the occupied territories on Wednesday.

"Had a phone conversation with Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, thanked for the condolences PS752. My colleague also stressed: Turkey will raise questions of deoccupation of Crimea and release of all UA citizens illegally detained in Russia & occupied territories during Putin's visit today," Prystaiko wrote on Twitter on January 8, 2020.

According to the Kremlin's website, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Istanbul late Tuesday, January 7.
