On the eve of the presidential campaign

The demand of President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko to sack “Victor Medvedchuk’s people” indicates an informational war inside the coalition.

Lawmaker Yuri Miroshnychenko (Party of Regions) disclosed this to “Za Kyiv” news agency. “I do not think these statements are connected with namely Medvedchuk. It indicates the beginning of a presidential campaign and attempts to discredit the former ally in the eyes of the electorate. Tymoshenko returns the answer, speaking about failures of the President, and forming alternative positions in all spheres, beginning from gas and finishing with privatization. This is an unhealthy informational war in the “orange camp”, the lawmaker stressed.

According to him, neither Tymoshenko, nor Yushchenko may say they have no connection with the “Kuchma epoch”.
