Donetsk political analyst Roman Manekin, an ardent supporter of the DPR, initiated a collection of signatures for the demand to prosecute Pushylin for making "treacherous statements," Ukrainian television’s Channel 24 reported on Tuesday.

A petition of appeal to the prosecutor of the DPR with an appropriate proposal has already been circulating on the Internet. The DPR supporters’ ire was raised when Pushylin said that Donetsk would once again be a part of Ukraine.

According to Manekin, Pushylin signed and sent draft amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine on behalf of the DPR that contradict his official duties. The above-mentioned draft involves change of the constitutional order of the “DPR” by making it into a "separate region of Donetsk region with a special status."

The actions of Pushylin are proposed to be interpreted as calls for actions aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the self-proclaimed “republic.”

As UNIAN reported earlier, on May 11, the so-called vice-speaker of the People's Rada of the DPR, Denis Pushylin, said that the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic was ready for the widest possible autonomy without prejudice to its interests within Ukraine.
