Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley has called Ukraine a "key partner to NATO."

"Ukraine is a key partner to NATO and plays a critical role in maintaining peace and stability in Europe," he said during a meeting with Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Ruslan Khomchak in Brussels, Belgium, on January 14, 2020.

It is noted the senior leaders discussed the current security environment in Europe.

On January 14, Khomchak took part in the 182nd Military Committee in Chiefs of Defence Session in a format with the operational partners of the Resolute Support Mission (Afghanistan), according to the official website of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
