Ukraine's envoy to the Trilateral Contact Group's political subgroup Oleksiy Reznikov has said the Minsk agreements should be revised in terms of priority of control over the border and the conduct of elections in Donbas.

"Ukraine's new position remains unchanged. It was proclaimed during the Normandy Four summit by President Zelensky <...> that at least as regards [the issue of regaining border control], the Minsk agreements are subject to revision," Reznikov told the Novoye Vremya news outlet.

According to the official, paragraphs of the Minsk agreements must be implemented in the following order:

- Disarmament of illegal armed groups in Donbas;

- Establishment of complete ceasefire;

- Withdrawal of all illegal armed groups from the territory of Ukraine;

- Re-establishment of Ukrainian control over the eastern border;

- Holding elections.

"It is impossible to hold elections if the Ukrainian border with Russia is beyond control of the Ukrainian military. This is evidenced by international experience. <...> The Ukrainian delegation will insist that the Minsk agreements be subject to revision and updating at least in this regard," he said.
