Ukrainian film director and former political prisoner Oleh Sentsov has said he is not interested in political activity.
"I don't set the bar. I don't set anything for myself. There are just things that interest me, and I do them. There are things that are not interesting to me, and therefore I am not into them. I'm not going into politics because it is not interesting to me now. I don't see any sense in this for myself now. I am engaged in social work. In general, today I am a free person. I didn't even want to join any NGO at this stage. I don't know what will happen next," he said in an interview to zn.ua.
As UNIAN reported earlier, 24 Ukrainian POW sailors captured by Russian special forces near the Kerch Strait in November 2018, and 11 political prisoners were returned by Russia to Ukraine as part of a prisoner exchange on September 7. The political prisoners included Roman Sushchenko, Oleh Sentsov, Oleksandr Kolchenko, Volodymyr Balukh, Stanislav Klykh, Mykola Karpyuk, Oleksiy Syzonovych, Pavlo Hryb, Edem Bekirov, Yevhen Panov, and Artur Panov.
