U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during his visit to Kyiv will discuss a set of important issues about European security with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

"We'll have a good set of conversations in Ukraine with the team and with President Zelensky on a set of important issues about European security," he said ahead of his travel to Ukraine, according to the U.S. Department of State.

Pompeo is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko and Defense Minister Andriy Zagorodnyuk to highlight U.S. support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. He will also attend a wreath laying ceremony on Mykhailivska Square to honor those who have fallen in Donbas, and meet with religious, civil society, and business community leaders.
