Canada allocates $5 mln to Ukraine for training road police
The Canadian government is providing Ukraine with $5 million to implement development programs for law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk said after his meeting with his Canadian counterpart Stephen Harper, who was on a working visit to Ukraine.
"Canada has decided to allocate Ukraine $5 million for training new Ukrainian road patrol police. This is a real help for Ukraine to become a strong and secure state," Yatseniuk said.
According to Yatseniuk, Ukraine also expects the arrival of a team of Canadian soldiers to train the Ukrainian National Guard.
