Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has had a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to discuss the implementation of the agreements reached during the Normandy Four summit in Paris on December 9, 2019, as well as preparations for another meeting of the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, France and Germany.

The presidents paid special attention to the release of Ukrainian citizens held in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas and Crimea, as well as in the Russian Federation, according to the Ukrainian president's press service.

The officials agreed on the need to intensify work within the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk to implement the agreements reached.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on February 11, Zelensky and German Chancellor Angela Merkel also discussed by phone the implementation of the agreements reached at the Normandy summit.
