Turchynov’s candidacy may be withdrawn from Kyiv Mayor election
BYuT representative discloses bloc`s plans
BYuT faction MP Pavlo Movchan does not rule out that the candidacy of Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksander Turchynov, who was proposed for the post of Kyiv Mayor by BYuT, may be withdrawn from taking part in the election.
He said this to RFE/RL.
“I think that it is necessary either to apply much forces, or to seek understanding with those enjoying the highest ratings. The little period for the start does not give us opportunity to spin Oleksandr Turchynov as a candidate for this post. Without any doubt, some arrangements will be made”, said P. Movchan.
According to his words, different variants are possible for national – democratic forces not to loose the election in the Ukrainian capital.
As UNIAN reported earlier, BYuT proposed candidacy of O.Turchynov for the post of Kyiv Mayor on April 10. The snap election of the Kyiv Mayor is scheduled for May 25.
